November Highlights

The Autumn Leaves have fallen, we’re entering the last two months of 2014 – time to reflect, gather with family for two of the biggest holidays of the year and enjoy the great indoors.  Here are some November highlights to put on the calendar:

Tuesday, November 4, 5.30pm at The Venue Fine Arts & Gifts – I’ll bring the keyboard and some audio, photo, and video footage from the recording sessions for The Whole World in Her Hands to share.  We will listen, discuss, and have some refreshments – and of course The Venue has a fantastic collection of Art and Craft items.

Friday, November 7, 7-10pm at Topo’s 403 – The Jazz from Bloomington piano found a new home at this fantastic Greek restaurant run by Stephanie Topolgus.  I love playing this Yamaha Grand!

Friday, November 14, 6-9pm at Trailhead Market – This is a hidden treasure down 446 towards Lake Monroe. The interior design is a rustic masterpiece and the pizza and other menu items outstanding.  What I most enjoy is the family-friendly atmosphere.  The kids can hang out, even play some games, and come along for a complete family outing.

Wednesday, November 19, 7-10pm at Oliver Winery Downtown – The girls are getting together for a girl’s night out at the Downtown Oliver Winery location.  This will be Carolyn Dutton on violin – yes, she’s back after her unfortunate arm injury! – and Natalie Boeyink on bass, just months away from completing her doctorate at IU.

Saturdays at Rick’s Cafe Boatyard – The trio has been a Saturday night feature at Rick’s since 2001 and we sure enjoy our great dynamics together and the opportunity to create music on a regular basis.  Come sit at the bar some Saturday and become a part of the musical process.

IU Continuing Ed is hosting a piano holiday concert at the IU Alumni Center on Thursday, December 4, 5.30pm – Peace on Earth is
