And finally – this tune is very special to me! Last summer, one of my idols – Geri Allen – passed away at just 60 years old. The jazz world was in shock and the many tributes documented how much she was loved and had contributed to the art form over the years. I composed this tune from her birthday numbers 06-12-1957, this is the first version we captured on a recording device. Enjoy and thanks for coming along on this beautiful evening.
